I am tired
Not very inspired
I feel the urge to write
It’s usually my delight.

I sit here in my chair
Thinking that I hadn’t a prayer
Then a Spark comes into my mind
My first word, I find

My emotions set me affire
To write is my desire
I write about Him and His work
His love for us is His only perk

He turned a bad day downside up
As He filled my cup
I lift up my hands in praise
In the son’s miraculous rays

Thank You

April 18, 2012

Thank you for giving me the words
Words to write for others to see
See them sit and listen, but do they learn
Learn what they need to know?

Knowing what you want is a good thing
It makes the spirit within ring
But some choose not to see or hear
It’s because they are filled with fear

Fear of what, I’d like to know
Maybe it’s the fear to grow
I pray that people will seek your face
And ask for Your grace

Grace is Your gift of salvation to us
You freely give it with no fuss
Thank you for granting we the words
Even if I sound like a nerd

Why I Write

April 3, 2012

As I sit here at this table dark
I feel like a fluttery spark
Will I use this energy dim
To make something begin?

Begin at the beginning, so they all say
So before I write, I pray
To my King, my Master
So I write slow, not faster

“Faster, Faster!” my mind says
I say “No way!”
I want to create what He wants
Not rubbish to flaunt

Flaunting my work isn’t good
It puts me in a awkward mood
So I write the way we want, my King and I
To share with you, by and by.

The King’s Poetry

October 16, 2010

I sit and write poetry for the King
The King of my heart
He writes with me
To me, His words, he imparts

Imparts the words for this generation
For the young and old alike
It doesn’t matter if it’s not the rage
Or something people don’t like

Dear words close to my heart
Flowing through the River of Creativity
I’m honored to be a vital part
Of the King’s poetry.
