Lean on Elohi Tsuri (Revised)

April 21, 2014

This can be heard on Spreaker

Heart pounding,
Palms sweating
Mind racing
Breath shortening

What am I afraid of?
Of the unknown?
/Of man?
Of things?

Things are in a tizzy
Why do I feel so dizzy?
God didn’t give us a spirit of fear.
He wants to draw us near.

*He gave us the spirit of love
His love from above
He also gave us his power
Us it will empower.

Sound minds he gave us too
So what am I going to do?
I’m going to lean on Elohi Tsuri**
Who is My God, My Rock to me.

* Scripture reference 2 Timothy 1:7

**I got this from another book whose source I cannot remember, so I looked it up on the net and found the meaning here.

Thank You

August 2, 2013

Thank you for your help
You have made me well
You have placed me on solid rock
I am now a part of Your flock

Flock of sheep, and a child
First time learner, very mild
You’ve given me a chance to learn
To You, I can always turn

“Turn around, I’m here” You say when I’m lost
I’m trying to follow you, no matter the cost
I’m thankful that you found me
You have helped a blind woman to see

The Rock (Revised – Formerly Assend!)

July 4, 2013

Words turned this way and that
Words make you feel thin or fat
Pictures distorted, making things too small
Or tall

Tall and wide, a mountain high
You think you’d rather die
Feeling encased in solid rock
Can’t climb it nor chip it into blocks

Blocks surround you; you can’t move; you’re pulled underground.
Into the darkness; you feel no longer sound
You crawl in the earth like a worm
All you think you can do is squirm

Squirm and dig until you’re at the rock
True rock stops you; you talk
You hear the truth, you start to mend
Out of the pit, standing tall; you ascend!

Ascending, comprehending, the Rock is with you
He shows; you take His cue
He is the ultimate teacher, a cut above all
He sees through the sin and catches you when you fall

Rock History

November 4, 2009

A horse stood with me, there in my plight,
Plight tangible, yet He is not.
Not there – invisible to others, but real to me.
Golden coat, silver mane, his stride is mine.

Plight tangible, he walks beside me.
Me, His child, but at that time I barely knew it.
Golden coat, silver mane, His stride is mine.
Mine so that I may lean on Him.

Me, His child, but at that time, I barely knew it.
It was because of my finances.
Mine so that I may lean on Him.
Him who is my Rock, horse shaped.

It was because of my finances.
Finances that were in a state of flux.
Him, who is my Rock, horse shaped.
Shaped equine for me then, but now He is friend within.

Finances that were in a state of flux.
Not there – invisible to others, but real to me.
Shaped equine for me then, but now He is friend within.
A horse stood with me, there in my plight.
